Guide
How much does a website cost?
The short answer: a professional website for a small business usually costs between €1,500 and €5,000 one-off, plus roughly €100 to €300 a year for hosting and maintenance. Here we explain what drives the price and what to look for in a quote, using our own prices as an example.
What drives the price
Scope
A one-pager is quicker to build than a website with ten service pages, a team section and job ads.
Design
An adapted base design costs less than a completely custom look with its own building blocks.
Copy
Do you supply the copy or does the provider write it? Good copy is often the biggest effort.
Features
Bookings, menus, job applications or a shop cost extra, but often save a lot of work.
Languages
Every additional language means more copy and upkeep.
Care afterwards
Whether you can make changes yourself or pay for every little thing decides your running costs.

Checklist
What to look for in a quote
Fixed price instead of hours
A fixed price for a clearly described scope protects you from nasty surprises.
Being able to edit yourself
Can you change text, images and opening hours without a phone call? That saves the most over the years.
Running costs in the open
Ask about hosting, maintenance, licences and updates. Everything should be on the table up front.
Google from the start
Titles, descriptions, sitemap and Search Console belong to the basics, not to an extra package.
Your website belongs to you
Clarify what happens if you change provider. With us the website keeps running without us.
Built for phones
Most visitors arrive on a phone. Ask to see examples on a smartphone.
Questions about costs
Why does a professional website cost more than a website builder?
Because design, copy, technology and Google basics are part of the work you would otherwise do yourself with a builder. In return you save time and get a website that brings in customers.
Are there hidden costs?
Not with us. After the free first conversation you receive a fixed price. We tell you about running costs for hosting and care up front.
Do I have to pay everything at once?
No. With us you pay half on order and the other half when the website goes live.
What does a relaunch of my existing website cost?
Similar to a new website, plus moving the old addresses from €290. More under Website relaunch.
What if my budget is smaller?
Talk to us. We like supporting local businesses and will find a solution together; often a smaller website is enough to start and can grow later.
